Our Story

Why we built
Orbit.

After Emma was born, something broke in the way we talked. Gaby was living through changes she couldn't name. Alex couldn't see them — not because he didn't care, but because nobody had ever taught him.

So we stopped guessing and started asking. He learned her cycle. She learned to put words to what she was feeling. Nothing fancy. Just two people finally speaking the same language.

Then came the question that started all of this: how many couples are living exactly this? We built Orbit so they wouldn't have to figure it out alone.

We just weren't speaking the same language.

What is Orbit?+

Orbit is a relationship app that helps couples understand how the menstrual cycle can influence emotions, energy, intimacy, and everyday connection. Instead of simply tracking a cycle, Orbit creates a shared language between partners — so both people can better understand what may be happening and how to navigate it together.

Is Orbit a period-tracking app?+

Yes, but Orbit goes beyond period tracking. Cycle tracking is the starting point. Orbit connects cycle information with emotional patterns, daily experiences, and relationship dynamics to help couples understand each other better.

Does my partner need to use Orbit?+

Yes. Orbit is designed for couples, so both partners have their own experience inside the app. One partner can track and understand their cycle, while the other can learn how to better understand, support, and connect with them.

Does Orbit tell my partner exactly how I feel?+

No. Orbit doesn't assume that everyone experiences the same phase in the same way. It gives you a way to communicate what you're experiencing and choose what you want to share. You are always in control of what your partner can see.

Can I share everything with my partner?+

No — and you don't have to. Orbit is designed around intentional sharing. You can decide what information you want your partner to see and what you want to keep private.

What is the Emotional Climate?+

The Emotional Climate is Orbit's way of describing how you may be experiencing a particular day. Throughout the cycle, different combinations of emotions, energy, physical sensations, intimacy, and other experiences can create different “climates.” Orbit uses a collection of visual climates to make these changes easier to recognize, understand, and talk about.

Why does Orbit use weather and climate?+

Because emotions aren't always the same — and they aren't always predictable. Some days feel sunny. Some feel heavy, quiet, intense, or somewhere in between. The climate is not a label or a diagnosis. It's a simple way to communicate, “This is what today feels like.”

How does Orbit know what phase I'm in?+

Orbit uses the cycle information you enter to estimate your current phase and provide relevant insights and suggestions. As with any cycle-tracking tool, predictions can change because cycles naturally vary from person to person and from month to month.

Is Orbit a medical app?+

No. Orbit is a relationship and cycle-awareness app. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition, and it should not replace professional medical advice.

Is Orbit free?+

Orbit's core experience is designed to make cycle awareness and partner understanding accessible. As Orbit evolves, additional premium features may be introduced to offer deeper insights, relationship tools, and personalized experiences.
